Who are we?

Inertia Swim is a locally run family business, started with the love of swimming in mind. Inertia Swim has built a respectable reputation in the community. This is because Inertia not only offers competitive pricing, but honest customer service – we work with you to ensure the products you’re buying are right for you and your circumstances.

What do we do?

We cater not only to the fitness or casual swimmer - we also service the high performance swimmer. Inertia Swim started upstairs at Shellharbour Swim Academy, and with the support of local clubs and their members Inertia has continued to grow.

Having created, what is often referred to by the community as the “Candy Store for Swimmers”, Inertia has seen continuous growth. This has, in turn, ensured we can give back to the swimming community by supporting local clubs with their fundraising and other activities.

what our customers say

Wendy Starr reviewed Inertia Swim – 5 star 19 February · Wonderful range and product knowledge. Every suggestion was tailored for my daughter’s requirements. There were no attempts to push the more expensive products. I had been dreading trying to find goggles and swimmers in one trip - now I know where to go first! Thank you so much - I’m sure we will be back again!

Why do we do it?

Inertia Swim opened its doors in 2016 after seeing a gap outside of metropolitan Sydney. There were no swimming shops dedicated to training, fitness and technical swimwear to rural and suburban areas. Having been in the sport for several years, trying to source swimwear/racewear became difficult. Not only was it personally difficult, but the realisation that every other swimmer was having the same problem brought this dream to reality.
